Yearly Maintenance
- We recommend you chlorinate and test your well water once a year. Water samples can be obtained from the Benton Franklin Health Department.
- Check the air pressure pre-charge inside the pressure tank. The tank must be drained and have no water pressure on it before checking the air charge. Standard pump systems should have 2 PSI air pressure, less than the pumps turn-on pressure on the pressure switch.
Example: Pressure switch turns the pump on at 40 PSI. The air pre-charge should be at 38 PSI.
